 Sturdy laptop, excellent specs and reasonable price October 12, 2008

I am enjoying the processor speed and the substantial memory in the ram. I would not consider the battery life stellar but it is good. I have been getting close to a couple of hours on a fully charged battery. The laptop looks sturdy and well constructed. I carry it around a lot (home, school, work) and therefore how it handles being moved around a lot is important. So far it is holding up pretty well. br /I had to restart it in one instance because it would not read my sound card. other than that, it has been working very well. br /I have a bone to pick with Vista though.I will admit that it has made windows a very user friendly interface. it does however take up a lot of ram (about half of what is available) I hope microsoft optimises it in the future and trim the somewhat silly bells and wistles. The biggest problem so far is how vista handles set ups with different applications, hardwares and connections. Sometimes does not want to play nice in the sand box. br /the laptop has otherwise been working really well and i am a satisfied customer

It's a strong name with a big reputation. I chose to buy a Sony laptop because everything I have ever owned with "Sony" written on it has been solid. This laptop computer is no different. It was easy to setup, connected to my network seamlessley and is a real joy to use everyday. With the exception of having to muddle through the transition to using Windows Vista and especally it's out of the box quirks... which I am over now. I can report that I am now among the those with portability and can slide into the red velvet half booth at starbucks to sip and surf with the other hip urbanites.

Great little pc for the money! The connection to my wifi network was painless as well. br /Had this unit about one month and am totally satisfied!
