Bought the memory, plugged it in, and now my imac is noticeably faster. Back up your system before, though. Other people have reported some problems with losing data. Also, I noticed that even after pressing in the clips that hold the memory, the modules weren't seated fully. I used a screwdriver to press on both ends of the memory modules to fully seat them. If the memory doesn't make full contact, I can imagine that the system would flake. Just don't press too hard. Otherwise, it's a pretty simple upgrade.

I always thought that upgrading apple products was difficult. When my friend showed me how easy it was to install this product I was really happy. I upgraded my RAM and I've stopped getting the spinning wheel of death.

I used this kit to upgrade my MacBook's (Early 2008 Model) 2GB to 4GB. I just swapped out my old and I was done. MacBook recognized the new memory, and I am now able to have many more applications open at the same time.
