Product Description Weighing a mere one pound and small enough to fit in a pocket, the model 02 is the world's smallest Windows Vista capable computer. The model 02 is up to four times faster and has a display more than six times brighter than its groundbreaking predecessor, the model 01+. Redesigned from the ground up, the model 02 features a new ergonomic backlit keyboard and capacitive TouchScrollers for easy input and navigation. The model 02 incorporates complete wireless connectivity - including EV-DO Wireless WAN, WiFi, and Bluetooth - ensuring the user has high speed and uncompromised access to the internet, email, and networked applications.

A Product With A Major Technical Flaw September 5, 2008 As (USA) I spent $3,000.00 to this product and learned an expensive lesson: this product has a major technical flaw. Someday, you might push the power button and realize that it is not working! If you have important business data in it, say good-bye to them. Please check their FAQs section and see how many troubleshooting suggestions they have about these issues. Furthermore, their customer service is terrible, they simply ignore your e-mails. br / br /If you need a high-tech small device to play games, buy Nintendo. If you need a serious UMPC for business purposes, buy Panasonic Toughbook U1. If you don't know what to do with your extra money, make your loved ones happy instead of buying this flawed device. This product should be recalled. br / br /
Perfect for someone who needs more than a Blackberry but less than a 3+ lb laptop. July 28, 2008 Anonymous (United States) The keyboard on this thing is going to be familiar to a Blackberry or Treo / similar smart phone user. br / br /Skip the Tablet XP option because handwriting recognition in Windows is horrid. br / br /You gotta buy the damage protection plan because this thing will eventually get dropped and it invariably will separate from the screen and the hardrive despite the drop protection sensors. br / br /Repairing the HDD alone is the same cost as the damage protection plan and the protection plan is worthy investment. br / br /It is tremendously better than an Asus EEEPC / BUT ALSO SIX TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE THAN A EEE ( important to mention before the eeePC loyalists send me death threats ). br / br /It is useless to compare this to the prior OQO 01 released in 2003 since hardly anyone purchased those and the few that did used their angst to design the improvements for the 02. br / br /Boost the RAM to the max because 512 isn't enough, and SKIP VISTA since Vista stinks worse than raw pig vomit on this CPU. br / br /If you'd like an alternative, consider the Fujitsu Lifebook, you can get a semi-comparably equiped one for less but the screen isn't as bright and tight and you can only slower ATT EDGE networking in the Fujitsu instead of the blazing EVDO in the OQO's.
Do Not Buy This Flawed Device June 24, 2008 Richard E. Tullie (Palm Beach County, FL) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I own the Model 02 OQO. It has a built in "motherboard flaw" that causes it to "lock up" and not work at all. I was informed by Customer Service that this "has happened before" and that they "are aware of this problem." In fact they said "I just worked on one like this yesterday." This is unacceptable. When it locks up it becomes an unusable brick. Worst of all, THEY SAID THAT IT WOULD TAKE TWO MONTHS TO REPAIR THIS BEFORE THEY SHIPPED IT BACK TO ME. By the way they added: "We do not have a replacement or exchange policy." br / br /Do not waste your time and money on this flawed device.
