It's been three days since I placed an order, but they haven't shipped the item yet.
I'm know that I'll like the sleeve since I had one for my old Powerbook; however, this is very disappointing.

I had a Powerbook that came used with a Tucano sleeve and I fell in love with it. The neoprene (like a wetsuit) is thick enough for piece of mind, yet stretches easily over your laptop and the zippers are high quality. The little additional case holds my power adaptor (it has to be neatly wrapped), a portable drive (WD Passport) as well as several cables and earbuds. Don't skimp on protection for your investment! There are Tucano sleeves available for MBPs as well-make sure to buy the correct size!

I got this sleeve a couple of weeks ago, I was looking for something to store my macbook and protect it from scratches/dust etc. This is exactly what I needed - the extra cable pouch is also great to store any accessories.
As you have probably realised this is not a hard, protective case - so if that's what you're looking for I wouldn't recommend it. However, if like me you just want an extra layer for your macbook I would definitely recommend this to you....

Received this item a couple of weeks ago. Things of note:
1) Made of neoprene, I think about 2mm thickness. The computer is completely surrounded by neoprene, there is no area that is not covered.
2) Zipper goes halfway around. The computer is completely shielded from the zipper by a extra fold of neoprene that you pull up before zipping it shut. This stays in place well.
3) The fit is very good. No room for shifting. Very low bulk, will slip easily into a backpack or other bag.
4) Cord bag is convenient, big enough to fit power cord plus extension and more. Two mesh pockets are found inside, one on either side.
Things that might be improved:
1) I might have used 3mm neoprene for extra protection, but this would add more bulk and make construction of the sleeve more difficult, so +/-. I am very happy with it the way it is.
2) The zippers are a lower weight then I expected. I have had absolutely no difficulty with them, but in my experience the finer the zipper the earlier it goes. Hopefully theses are good quality, which they appear to be, and will last a long time.
Overall, great product, I would highly recommend it, and would definitely buy it again.
