i use this to put my laptop inside a desk drawer and it is working so far. keeps my computer btwn 4-5 degrees C cooler. i like how it sucks the air and pushes it out the back of the product.

OMG I would be saying this, but this is THE CHEAPEST, BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK I have ever bought. I already owned the LapCool2, but since I dropped it once and the blades on the fans broke, it became very noisy, so I came online and looked for a replacement. I was very happy to see that a newer model had come out, and at a cheaper price even, but BOY, did that lower price come at a cost! No more 4-port USB hub, no more aluminum cooling plate, no more nice reclining footies or flip-out footies to help machine get more ventilation. If I had got it myself, I'd have sent it back immediately as a misrepresentation, but unfortunately I had someone bring it to Mexico for me since I couldn't come to the USA to get it myself. I will NEVER again buy something just trusting on brand credibility or experience with previous products.

This product is thin, but does not generate much air flow. I like that the air intake is in the back instead of on the bottom like earlier models, but the plastic housing is so thin that it can be pushed into the fan blades.

Great fan. It's really quiet!! Unlike my built-in fan within my laptop. If the fan runs for a while, my computer will rarely turn on its own fan which is nice since that one is noisy and worthless after 2 years of owning my laptop.
Lightweight, super easy to use (just plug it in), perfect size for my ~15" screen laptop. Even has soft pegs on the top of the board so the laptop is lifted a cm above the fans.
I recommend it if your laptop overheats - my pc never gets hot now and before it would overheat and crash if I ran too many programs/movies/games.

Yesterday I received my order and was very happy about it. For just few hours. Then it started making noise, more and more loud. Yes, it does its job, keeping my laptop cooler than it was before, but today I feel quite sick after using it for just couple of hours because of this noise.
