 Not practical for 17 inch laptops August 27, 2010

Useless for large screen laptops. Doesn't balance 17 inch laptops. Obviously made for smaller laptops although product info doesn't say so. I can't use it because each key I hit causes the laptop to wobble.

I was looking for a stand that would keep the computer cool when it was sitting on my bed and my legs cool when I had it on my lap. This stand does both very well. the stand provides a good work angle and the laptop stays on it secure. it was exactly what i was looking for. it also fits nicely into a computer case great for computing on the go.

Absolutely not worth the money! There is no ledge to hold your laptop in place and the lift was not at a proper height to do any good. Since return postage probably would have been close to $6.00, I didn't bother to return it. It was also sent in a box that was probably 4 times bigger than necessary. The one to buy is called a PortaBook on "As Seen On TV." I have had one for over a year and a half and it works quite nicely. I was glad to finally be able to find another one.

This is small and simple and does what is intended - keeps the laptop slightly elevated and cooler. Easier to use the keyboard as well when elevated.
