TDK SA90 High Bias Cassette tape July 1, 2010 Matt A It's getting hard to find high bias cassette tape but these guys still have some good stuff. I use it to transfer music from vinyl LP format to tape, then capture the analog using my desktop computer sound card and an old Sony Walkman cassette player that still works fine. The freeware Audacity software using the MP3 plugin completes the re-format to digital that I can play on any modern music player, even (gasp) an iPod but I use a Sansa (so much cheaper and I can replace the battery myself). My stereo equipment is all about 25 years old, my turntable and speakers more like 35 years old. They all work fine. My pickup truck is a 1991 model with a cassette deck and no CD adapter; I've probably several hundred factory cassette tapes, far more than CD's. I did give away most of the old LP's, too scratched up to bother with. But I still have some good ones and need to convert them to digital, that is why I still need new blank tape once in a while. I got these tapes from "Recording Store", good price and service, I recommend them. The resulting MP3 files really sound great, I'm very pleased with the quality. Only problem is it take a couple hours to convert an entire LP. But I work cheap.
TDK SA90 High Bias Cassettes (5-pack) June 25, 2010 eliza1 I ordered these tape cassettes for my husband. He was disappointed in them, stating that the quality of the cassettes is NOT what it used to be.
Nevertheless, since his favorite brands are getting more and more difficult to find, we'll probably still have to use them. And for that, he is appreciative with at least finding these.

I love to make tapes of the styles of music that i own. I had stooped for a while since retailer have stopped selling the TDK SA90 tapes. Thanks to Amazon I now can continue with my hobby. The tapes were delivered promtly and are of the high quality that I've always enjoyed.
Taping VINYL and nothing else! October 22, 2008 T. Brannigan (Mountain View, Ca.) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've been using TDK SA as well as Maxell IIL cassette tape for recording some of my estimated 3500 LPs and 250 EPs. I have, of course, one of the best cassette recorders on the planet. The two head Nakamichi BX 125 records beautifully. My sourse is a Nottingham Space Deck with Graham 2.2 tonearm and three stereo cartridges and a Mono one as well. I DO NOT record CDs. I'm only interested in keeping things "Analogue". I suppose it would be a wise move to start purchasing these tapes by the hundreds. I can't see them lasting another 10 years!
Jeff Galin of ESLabs keeps the NAK in fine working order. They don't make these anymore....so one has to keep them maintained to last.
Long live Analogue!!!
They work! September 5, 2008 R. D. Snyder (Yellow Springs, Ohio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
As an aging music geek - who still finds a use for cassettes - I've found that these TDK cassettes work in my deck when Maxells don't. In the olden days, I preferred Maxells, but the times have changed.
