| Editorial Reviews:
Uniden's DCT7565-2 phone system is expandable to a total of four handsets; this set includes two. Ideal for any large home, this stylish phone set allows you to place handsets in multiple locations so you never miss a call. An autoscan feature automatically finds the best channel available, and handset and ringer volume controls allow you to easily adjust the phone's settings to your liking. Caller ID/call waiting compatible, the phone can store up to 100 incoming numbers, while the display-and-dial feature allows you to scroll through the list of calls and return calls at the touch of a button. A page button makes it simple to find a misplaced handset, while the intercom feature lets you quickly communicate with another handset location. The base includes a digital speakerphone and a keypad; the charging cradle included with the additional handset does not require a phone jack. The menu-driven handset LCD makes operation easy. A redial button lets you easily call one of the last three outgoing numbers, and both tone and pulse dialing modes are provided. The handset is headset compatible (a belt clip is provided for hands-free operation), while a room/baby monitor setting lets you hear audio via an additional handset or the base's speakerphone. Twenty distinctive ringer options are provided (10 ring tones and 10 melodies), and a visual voicemail indicator on the base lets you know when you have message waiting. The base is desk or wall mountable, allowing you to locate the phone for optimum convenience. The DCT7565-2 is backed by a one-year warranty on both parts and labor. | Customer Reviews: GARBAGE September 7, 2008 SM Faciane (Slidell, LA) This phone and the additional handsets are all garbage. I purchased this phone less than a year ago and on each of the phones you can't scroll down, if you want to see who's called you on the caller ID, you have to scroll up through the old numbers before you get to the new numbers. I can't even turn the volume down on the darn phones anymore. I wandered why the price was so good, it was because you'll have to buy a new one fast because this one breaks so easily.
Nice phone, plus you dont have to buy a whole answering system January 12, 2007 R. Nelson (NY, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This phone has the best bang for the buck. It has all the functionality but non of the hassale of a phone with an answering system. It has an awesome battery life and it can be easily personalized, plus the fact that you have the date and time on the handset comes in handy at times.
Poor sound quality, but good price for lots of features July 13, 2006 NYC Small Business Owner (NYC) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Thought Uniden had a great reputation and bought this after a disappointing experience with Panasonic cordless (the answering machine on that one started malfunctioning just after the warranty expired). Have had this two weeks. The phone holds a charge. The ergonomics of the phone are great if you want something light to hold for long conversations. However, the sound quality is poor, even when you are right by the base station. It echoes and warbles. For this kind of money, they should work on the sound quality. It shouldn't be like a cellphone-type of calling experience.
