The Patriot Xporter XT has very fast speeds (Much faster than the Cruzer or Micro Cruzer). It looks great. Very durable and durable feel. The cap doesn't fall off as I've heard. I've bought a 16GB and an 8GB. The 16 comes with a USB extention cord, but the 8 doesn't.
Just plug it in. Go to your My Computer and put your files on it. Great USB flash drive.

Patriot you are the BEST! Durable construction and a writing speed of 32 MB/s !!
Tested on both Macintosh and PC. I've tried lot's of USB memories, but this is the best by far!
I give only 4 stars to the appearance as I found the rubber cover to be attracting dust. Otherwise, STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

I have not used this product long enough to comment on speed or reliability. However, there is no easy way to label the drive. Since I have a number of flash drives, I try to label each one. You cannot use magic marker to label as the rubber is black.

I needed a flash drive bigger than the 1 GB I had, so I read a lot of reviews to see what would work well. I can't recall the brand names, but I read that a few of them have weird extra software on the flash drive that can be annoying and was not interested in having complications. I also checked Newegg and the reviews there, as well as here, were very good.
I am very pleased with this item---it transfers quickly and is easy to reformat whenever you need to. 8 GB is also a nice sized flash drive for getting slightly larger files, like movies, back and forth between friends or whatnot.
I know that storage is getting bigger and cheaper all the time, but I am happy with this one. I think it will be holding up fine for a long time to come.
Mac OSX/Windows Compatibility tip: If you are a Mac user, but want to be able to share stuff with Windows users, go to your Disk Utility, find this drive, and go to the "Partition" tab. Pick to have 1 Partition, click the "Options" button, and choose "Master Partition." This will allow it to be compatible with both Mac and PC for sharing files between the two.

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 32 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive PEF32GUSB
First, I appreciated getting a device that wasn't preloaded with unwanted software, like U3. I'm more of a Linux and Mac user so that stuff which is specific to Winblows is useless to me. I liked that it's formatted as FAT32 so that it was immediately recognized by my Mac without my having to reformat. Read and write speed is just fine. I had no problems watching DVD's stored on the Patriot using my Acer Aspire One running Ubuntu Linux. I liked the rubber casing for what I believe will be good protection if and when the Patriot might get dropped and the raised lettering makes it easy to locate among the other stuff in my pockets without having to empty them. The end cap seems to fit snugly enough that it won't easily fall off although I do prefer the drives where the USB connector retracts back into the device. If I have a need for another 32 GB Flash Drive I would definitely buy another one of these.
