Nursing helper January 6, 2009 G. Busch (Michigan) I purchased this Pocket PC for my wife for use as an Registered Nurse. Programs that I downloaded for her work great. She is still learning to use the other programs. No problems with using the wireless internet at work. I have other HP products that are running great.
Sweet PDA December 26, 2008 S. Brown (Providence, RI USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Sweet PDA. This device is very light and easily stored in a pocket. The buttons are sized and placed well for one handed operation. Th speaker is on the top backside of the unit, an odd placement IMHO. The power/USB port is on the bottom while the headphone jack is on the top. This is a bit annoying if you have both connected. br / br /Be sure to buy a few extra styli. Mine broke where the plastic reset pin and the metal shaft meet. br / br /Over all a great product. I purchased this in March of 2009 for around $299.
it's great... not as perfect as i hoped but then..... technology is not magic December 22, 2008 M. Mi (CA, USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
i was hoping to be able to install chinese language recognizer but somehow having trouble synching the device in the first place... keep getting an error message.... dunno if it's due to something on my computer or whether their software isn't uptodate enough? could be just me having this issue... otherwise, it looks very nice, features are well.... not as perfect as i imagined, but i guess technology is not magic. :p
Back To Palm I Guess? December 20, 2008 M. Cartwright (Oceanside, California) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
After my trusty CHEAP Palm battery began fading, I went for the big time with this. Right away I got online with my home computer to find ways to modify (add) software so I was watching YouTube Videos on this thing! Simply amazing to me. But that wasn't what I needed it for but man was it fun. Just couldn't BELIEVE what I could do with this gadget. br / So what went wrong? Oh yeah, the reason I bought it.....Well, the battery lasts a day or 4 depending on it's mood? And this my friends is with BOTH wifi AND bluetooth shut OFF. Now I asked myself is it because it is an old battery and sat so many YEARS on Amazons shelf? Am I willing to pay a TON of money out of MY pocket to try when so many others write about it being just characteristic of this product? Not me, I'm chicken! br / OK, and then there is the issue of Alarms. TOO QUIET! No matter the setting, not loud enough for "me". The operating system. This may be great for those who buy a cell phone to be something OTHER than a cell phone(which I ALSO never understood!). But to get to a place to enter an event, set the alarm etc, it just was a pain and not worth it! My old Palm was quick simple, fast and LOUD. The other problems are those often mentioned by reviewers far more tech savvy than I so I will defer to them. br / So luckily, Amazon let me return this. I don't need another GADGET, I need a PDA. br /
Great Product - Crappy Service December 14, 2008 P. Fillmore (Wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this handheld 6 moths ago loved it - until it stopped working. Specifically, while the handheld worked great, the connector got super erratic - something must have come loose inside. At first I could wiggle the thing around to get it to connect sync, but when that failed, too, I called HP to make good on their warranty. Their response? Problems with the connector are considered 'physical damage' no warranty support would be provided. Non-warranty support was available for $50 up front payment (that dosen't apply to the subsequent repair.) br /If you buy this, MAKE SURE you buy the extended warranty too - because the 'basic' warranty is a joke!
